PROMOTE EDUCATION Butterflies and insects are different around the world, some species are endemic and can only be seen worldwide thanks to displaying them in frames. Schools, museums and universities do a great job on promoting and showing difference and importance of butterflies and insects. We encourage to all our customers to learn more about the butterfly or insect they have on display and share the knowledge.
SAFETY Traditionally we supplied framed butterflies or insects mounted on glass to our wholesaler's network and for our retail customers and Amazon users we are using acrylic on 99% of our frames. So far, we will be the pioneers on this kind of product WOOD Frame + ACRYLIC Display. Acrylic comes with a protection film and requires some patience and little skill to remove without scratching it.
PROMOTE JOB TO NATIVE COMMUNITIES We partner with native communities and teach them the way to farm butterflies and insects. This additional income helps to sustain hundreds of families, it also helps to protect the environment because native realize they can make money without cutting trees or hunting restricted species.
PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE COLLECTION We respect and understand the position of people against collecting wild specimens. In that regard, we are always trying to improve the breeding techniques to be able to reproduce and keep on captivity more species. Not all species can be farm raised, some of them require trained collectors. They learn the proper way to collect and preserve the specimens, handling them with the respect and care that they deserve otherwise they cannot get their collector license.
Description
Selected real Butterfly displayed on wood frame enclosure and mounted on acrylics. Museum style (clear acrylic on both sides), high quality materials and put together by artisan labor. Butterflies and insects are extremely similar but they very unique, there are not 2 alike. The specimen you will receive will be like the one on picture. Most of our frames are made with acrylic on both sides, very few ones we still have them on museum quality glass. Acrylic is 4-5 times more expensive than glass. Acrylic displays have a protection film that must be removed, requires a little detailed work and patience to remove it without scratch it or breaking acrylic. Sometimes a paper cutter is required. Once protection film is removed, the magic will show up.
