What is Brake Rotor
The Brake Rotor, also known as a brake disc, is a vital component of the brake system in a vehicle. It is a flat, circular metal disc that is mounted on the wheel hub assembly. When the brake pads clamp onto the Brake Rotor, the resulting friction generates the necessary strength to slow down or stop the vehicle. The Brake Rotor dissipates the heat generated during brake to avoid overheating, ensuring consistent performance and safety.
