Description

The Galton Board Model combines engaging gameplay with rigorous scientific methods to develop data analysis and experimental reasoning skills, creating an unforgettable learning experience.

Experimental device:
Vertical plate: There are openings at the upper end, and multiple vertical collection grooves are arranged at the lower end.
Multi-layer nails: The nails are arranged in an interlaced manner, with one more nail per layer than the upper layer, forming a triangular layout.
Small ball: Released from the top, collided with the nail during the fall, and eventually fell into a groove at the bottom.

Experimental phenomenon:
A single ball path is random and may fall into either slot.
After a large number of small balls are released, the middle grooves gather the most, and the number on both sides gradually decreases, forming a bell-shaped curve.

Principles of mathematics:
Binomial distribution: Each layer of nails represents an independent test, and each collision of the ball has a probability of left/right p=0.5.
