This Competition Cams 12-432-8 Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller camshaft and Redline Performance link-bar lifter kit is built to transform how a Chevy small block 262–400 engine runs, sounds and responds. Designed as a retro-fit hydraulic roller profile for non-roller SBC blocks, it delivers serious street performance while remaining usable for real-world driving. The 12-432-8 cam features .510"/.520" lift, 282°/288° advertised duration, 230°/236° duration @ .050, and a 110° LSA. The higher lift opens the valves deep into the cylinder head's high-velocity flow zone, significantly improving intake and exhaust flow. The extended duration at .050 keeps the valves open during peak airflow, building stronger cylinder pressure and producing a harder mid-range hit and stronger acceleration. The 110° lobe separation angle sharpens mid-range torque and creates a mildly rough performance idle that clearly says “built motor” without making the car unmanageable.
