Description

The Doubletail Betta (Betta splendens "Doubletail") is a showpiece fish admired for its distinctive split tail fin, which forms two symmetrical lobes instead of one. This tail structure gives the fish a fuller, more balanced appearance—especially when flared. With rich coloration and graceful movement, Doubletail Bettas are a striking addition to any nano or desktop aquarium. Reaching up to 3 inches, these fish thrive in tanks of 2.5 gallons or larger with a gentle current and plenty of hiding spots from soft plants or smooth decorations. Their peaceful temperament makes them perfect for solo display, and their curiosity means they often interact with their keeper—especially during feeding time. Our tank-raised Doubletail Bettas are hand-selected for superior tail structure, vibrant coloration, and robust health. Feed a variety of high-quality betta pellets, freeze-dried or frozen foods to enhance their color and vitality. Note: Doubletail Bettas have slightly shorter bodies than other varieties, which can make them more prone to swim bladder issues. Provide clean, warm water and avoid overfeeding for best results.
