Description

Built for high-density internal storage, this 16-port 12Gb/s SAS/SATA HBA is powered by dual LSI SAS3008 controllers behind a PCIe switch, delivering PCIe 3.0 x8 bandwidth and robust compatibility with SAS expanders. Four internal Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors provide direct attach for up to 16 HDDs/SSDs; add an external expander to scale to hundreds of devices. IT-mode firmware exposes drives directly to ZFS, TrueNAS/FreeNAS, and unRAID for clean JBOD passthrough. Backward compatibility with SATA 6Gb/s/3Gb/s and support for SAS 12Gb/s make it a versatile choice for NAS builds, homelabs, and SMB file servers.
