Kerfed lining ("kerfing") forms a surface for gluing and reinforcing a mandolin's soundboard, sides and back. Each lining is angle-cut and notched (kerfed) to allow for easy bending.
Each piece of basswood lining measures: 15-1/2" x 7/32" x 3/8" (393.70mm x 5.56mm x 9.52mm)

Four strips of basswood kerfed linings, which is sufficient for an F-style mandolin.
These linings can also be used for dulcimers.
