Special Features

  • Make the new coat of gel coat on your boat pop with the Super Clear Additive. When blended 1:1 with gel coat, it adds a nice glossy finish without all the work of sanding and polishing. The additive allows the gel coat to lay down smoother than normal with an enamel like coating.
  • The Super Clear Additive also allows the gel coat to cure without a surface tack. Eliminates the need for Wax/PVA in Gel Coat when used as an additive. It also can be used as a top coat for pigmented gel coat for brilliant depth.
  • The High Gloss Coating can be used to coat wood instruments, architectural wood crafts and other exotic wood pieces to give them an exceptional, thick, high gloss finish. Topcoat over stains and primers.
  • Low Viscosity, Low VOC, Great UV resistance, Scratch Resistant that produces glassy finish.
  • Cuts down the buffing and polishing time.

Product Application: Exotic Wood Coating Gelcoat Additive for Air Cure Applications and added glossy depth Musical instrument wood coating Top Coat over clear primers Top Coat over pigmented colors for clear depth Automotive interior composity parts clear coating Architectural wood crafts Product Features: Super Clear-Glass like appearance Scratch Resistant Buffs to a Super Hi-Gloss Finish Refinishes to original Hi-Gloss Practically an almost gloss finish Surface Preparation: Prepare surface by sanding with 220 grit sand paper (always non-stearated) Clean surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (acetone is not suitable) Product Application Suggestions: Catalyze at 2% w/ MEKP initiator (0.5 oz per quart) Utilization of HVLP Spray Gun optimizes finish Air Pressure between 25-40 PSI Maintain 12-18" distance between gun and surface Ideal temperature is 77°F Start with a flash coat (2 mils) wait 2 minutes then start to build coats of 4 mils per pass waiting approximately 5 minutes between coats. During cooler temperatures wait 20 minutes between coats. If you exceed 90, you must let cure, sand and then resum build coats. Optimum build of 16 mils Allow full cure (24 hours) prior to sanding and polishing Gel time: 16-20 minutes Viscosity: 400 cps Cure time: 2 Hours Coverage (16 mils): 100 sf/gallon VOC: 200 gr/liter Thix index: 2.0 Weight per Gallon: 8.7 lbs VOCs: 1.02 lbs/gal
