The first Larsen Cello A was still wrapped in the family garage by company founder Laurits Th. Larsen, but the company and string family began to grow. And to the same extent, the realization grew that while some of the best things happen by chance, they only become truly remarkable through our design. Larsen were the first to stop the constant urge for more volume and volume through ever higher string tension. Larsen's development of completely new materials, coupled with high-precision manufacturing techniques, but always significantly lower tension, has given the young company the highest attention and success worldwide. Larsen Strings develops and produces string instrument strings of the highest musical quality in Sønderborg, Denmark.
