DTF & Sublimation on Cotton - Step by Step Guide:
1.Printing: Mirror-print your design onto DTF film. (Tip: Tape plain paper behind the film for easier handling.)
2.Pre-Heat: Heat press at 266-320°F (130-160°C) for 2-5 minutes to prepare the fabric.
3.Powder Application: Evenly coat the printed film with DTF powder, shaking off excess. Melt powder at 284-356°F (140-180°C) for 2-4 minutes (adjust for machine type/thick films).
4.Pre-Press: Briefly press fabric at 293-320°F (145-160°C) for 5-10s, then cool to prevent distortion.
5.Transfer: Press design onto cotton at 293-320°F (145-160°C) for 15-20s under even pressure.
6.Finishing: Cool for 10-15s before peeling the film for crisp results.
Notes:
1. Mirror image design: The pattern needs to be flipped horizontally for printing.
2. Ink matching: Use special DTF ink to avoid mixing with ordinary UV or solvent ink.
3. Pressure control: Medium pressure (too high pressure will easily penetrate the glue, too low will fall off).
4. Washing and fading: After transfer, let it stand for 24 hours before washing.
5. Powder storage: Seal and avoid light, away from fire and moisture.
